Some may say “If you ever stay out, there should be a hot springs! “ For them, the best recommendation is Tokachi. Beginning from the most famous Tokachigawa Onsen hot springs, whose properties of the waters are quite particular known as “Moor,” each town and village has its own hot springs. The water properties are various. One particular is “Nukabira Gensenkyo” where they declared to use 100% from the original hot springs source. Open-air bath overlooking the lake and hot springs overlooking the Pacific Ocean are some of the examples that the onsen lovers would not miss in Tokachi.
Tokachigawa Onsen (Hot Springs)
What is Moor? It is botanical hot springs which are very rare in Japan. In 2004, Tokachigawa hot springs obtained Hokkaido Heritage designation. It contains lots of natural moisturizing substances, and after bathing, your skin becomes very smooth. The substances included in moor water help skin diseases, dyskinesia, back pain, neuralgia, and gastrointestinal disease rheumatoid. There are many hotels and inns in Tokachigawa area. Lake Shikaribetsu Hot Spirings
Scenic lakeside hotels stand out. Two hotels have their own properties of hot springs. From the open-air bath at Hotel Fusui, you can overlook the panoramic view of the lake, and the main bath of Hotel Fukuhara with a Japanese cypress, the luxury of the pure Japanese style granites, an open-air bath surrounded by Japanese garden, sauna, and Jacuzzi will give you a time of good relaxation.
